Meet the Next Generation

At the heart of Next Generation Bull Riding are the incredible youth who bring passion, grit, and determination to everything they do—both in and out of the arena. From riders and bullfighters to announcers, judges, stock handlers, and future coaches, these young athletes are the future of rodeo. Get to know the faces behind the chutes and the stories that make our team so special.

Novice Bull Rider

Ray

Ray is a good ole boy from Indiana who grew up playing football and wrestling, until he kickstarted his first dirt bike in 2022 and discovered his love for extreme sports. At the end of 2023, he climbed on his first bull with MYRA and hasn’t looked back. Since then, he’s attended clinics, made incredible connections, and found his way to Next Generation Bull Riding—where he's learned that the sport is about more than just riding. Ray is also learning the art of scoring and stays active in Little Britches, IJRA, IMBA, Double T, MYRA, and now MYTRA. Off the dirt, he’s a Junior Leader for his local 4H. Ray wants other youth to know: “If you want something, surround yourself with people who lift you up, not drag you down.” His dream is to ride in the PRCA, and he’s grateful to NGBR for believing in him.

Sr. Youth Bull Rider

Moria

Moria, raised in Michigan, is a former national-level gymnast and decorated barrel racer who found her true calling in the challenge and grit of bull riding. Trading in balance beams and barrels for bulls, she’s now a proud and driven member of Next Generation Bull Riding. Known for her fierce determination and strong work ethic, Moria is passionate about helping others grow both in and beyond the arena. Off the dirt, Moria is also the creator of BullRiderLife.com, a platform she uses to share her journey and connect with other youth in the sport. Her dream is to ride in the professional women’s bull riding circuit, paving the way for the next generation of bold, fearless female riders who aren’t afraid to chase something wild.

Jr. Youth Bull Rider

Wyatt

Wyatt is a 9-year-old from Rodney, Michigan, with deep roots in the western lifestyle. Having spent much of his young life working on ranches in North Dakota and Montana, Wyatt is no stranger to hard work and outdoor adventure. He loves riding his horse Bandit, going 4-wheeling, playing football, caring for his chickens, hanging out with his dog BoBo, and spending time with his cousins. Inspired by his cousin Coltyn, Wyatt just started bull riding this year and is quickly finding his footing in the sport. He takes pride in giving his best and is always eager to learn something new, both in and out of the arena.

Jr. Youth Bull Rider

Coltyn

Coltyn Rowe is an 11-year-old junior bull rider from Rodney, Michigan, who started riding at just 5 years old. A 2-time IMBA World Finals qualifier, Coltyn placed 3rd in the world in his first qualified year in the walk/trot division and 16th during his Pee Wee season. He won his first big buckle at the PBR event in Columbus, Ohio, competing in the mini division, and has since earned multiple buckles and cash prizes that keep his passion and drive going strong. Now he's aiming to become a 3-time IMBA qualifier this year. When he’s not riding, Coltyn loves being outdoors, fishing, hunting, wrestling, football, baseball, and spending time with his boxer dogs. Hunting is his second passion, but bull riding always comes first.

Jr. Youth Bull Rider

Talon

Talon is a 9-year-old roughstock competitor from California who is soon relocating with his family to Tennessee to pursue even more rodeo opportunities. He began riding sheep at just 3 years old and now competes in all the roughstock events. A three-time IMBA World Finals qualifier and two-time YBR World Finals qualifier, Talon is also working toward his second Junior Roughstock World Finals appearance. Outside the arena, he enjoys swimming, building Legos, collecting NASCARs, and helping his uncles work cutting horses on their ranch. With heart, hustle, and a passion for the cowboy way of life, Talon is a rider to watch.

Jr. Safety Man

Braydin

Braydin was born and raised in Michigan and spent much of his life in karate—until a trip to a PBR event sparked a new passion. Inspired by the mounted Border Patrol safety man, he began focusing on roping and horsemanship, earning his MRA card and competing with MYTRA and MYTEC.

After riding bulls with NextGen for six months, Braydin found his true calling in the arena and became the Jr. Safety Man in June of last year. His ultimate dream is to become a mounted Border Patrol agent in Texas.

Jr. Youth Bull Rider

Cash

Cash’s cowboy dream was sparked at four years old when he saw someone wearing boots while getting ice cream, and he's been chasing it ever since. After riding sheep and mini bulls for the first time, he knew bull riding was his path. Cash has a deep passion for learning and constantly pushes himself to improve, whether it's refining his horsemanship, roping calves, or studying livestock movement to sharpen his instincts. A strong competitor, Cash led and won the 24–25 Little Britches mini bull series, was reserve champion the season prior, and currently holds the lead in the YCR Peewee Division. He thrives with the encouragement of the NextGen family, where faith, friendship, and fierce determination carry him through every ride. Cash dreams of going pro, and he’s putting in the work to get there.

Junior Bull Fighter

Gunner

Gunner Count of Hastings, Michigan, is a rising young bullfighter with deep roots in the rodeo world. He started early, earning Jr. Stock Contractor of the Year in 2012, and went on to become a 2x IMBA World Finals qualifier as a bull rider. In 2019, he was named both Jr. Bull Rider and Bullfighter Champion of the Lost Nations Circuit. Gunner made history as the youngest bullfighter to step into a PBR arena and to fight at a youth world finals. In 2022, he earned Jr. Bullfighter of the Year honors from MYTRA and continues to build a name for himself as one of the sport’s most promising young protectors.

Jr. Clown

Colt

Colt began his rodeo journey at just four years old with mutton bustin’ and bull riding, and he’s been hooked on the arena ever since. While he enjoys the sport, Colt’s true passion lies in rodeo entertainment. A natural performer, he loves dancing, singing, and cracking jokes, and has found his place partnering with adult rodeo clowns during NextGen events. His favorite moments include working alongside Dave from the PBR, who made him feel welcome and inspired. Colt is looking forward to adding his own clown barrel and mic to the mix this year, bringing energy to the crowd and smiles to every event. When he’s not hyping up the arena before his brother's ride, Colt’s making new friends, grooving to country music and Juice WRLD, and dreaming big, like someday playing in the NFL.

Novice Bull Rider

Dominic

Dominic, a 16-year-old bull rider and junior arena director from Ohio, was inspired to ride after watching 8 Seconds and hasn’t looked back since his first bull three years ago. He joined the NextGen family through a team event and rode with Team Warriors, going on to represent at three PBR events this year. Dominic finished 2nd at Rocky Fork Rodeo Company in the Junior Bull Division and is chasing a spot at the IMBA World Finals. He rides with NextGen, MYTRA, YCR, and Rocky Fork, and has also discovered a passion for working behind the scenes as a junior arena director. When he’s not in the chute, Dominic can be found caring for animals on his family farm or wrenching on tractors and mowers. His long-term dream is to ride in the PBR and one day raise his own bucking bulls in an arena of his own.

Jr Mini Bull Rider

Jayce

Jayce is a 9-year-old bull rider from Newcomerstown, Ohio, who started riding at just 6 years old and has been chasing big goals ever since. He earned his first buckle at Rocky Fork Rodeo Company in Junior Calf Riding and recently finished in the top 3 at the E&H Cattle Company Winter Series, taking home prize money. Jayce joined NextGen through the team event last year as part of Team Warriors, where he earned the title of Most Improved Rider and won a bull rope. He’s ridden at three PBR events this year with NextGen, taking 1st place in Youngstown, Ohio, with an impressive 90-point ride in the mini bull division. He currently competes with MYTRA, YCR, Rocky Fork, and NextGen, working toward a spot at the IMBA World Finals. At home, Jayce enjoys helping on the farm, fishing, and drawing. His dream is to win the PBR and one day become a stock contractor raising top-tier bucking bulls.

Jr Clown

Joziah

Everyone knows him as Gooby, but his real name is Joziah! This energetic 5-year-old from Newcomerstown, Ohio, got hooked on rodeo life by watching his four older brothers. At just 3 years old, he started dreaming of being in the arena, and today he’s proudly working as a Junior Funny Man while starting his bull riding journey in the Walk Trot and Pee Wee divisions. Gooby has already joined NextGen at three PBR events and is competing at Rocky Fork Rodeo Company, YCR, MYTRA, and NextGen shows—where he’ll be both clowning and riding. Off the dirt, he keeps busy wrestling his brothers, playing with his cat Waffle, and racing Hot Wheels across the living room floor.

PeeWee Bull Rider

Jace

Jace is a determined 7-year-old Pee Wee bull rider from McBain, Michigan, who’s already making a name for himself in the arena. He began riding bulls two years ago, and in his very first season, he took home a first-place trophy—proving that his grit and courage were there from the start. Most recently, he earned his first buckle by placing in the top 10 in his division at MYTRA, a milestone that’s only fueled his passion for the sport. When he’s not working hard in the chutes, Jace is an all-around active kid who loves being outdoors. He spends his free time playing baseball and soccer, casting a line to go fishing, and riding his four-wheeler and dirt bike through the Michigan countryside. With a fearless attitude and a big love for the sport, Jace is just getting started on his bull riding journey.

Compete by Age

The age divisions are as follows:

6-8 yr - PEEWEE
9-11 yr - JR MINI BULL
12-14 yr - SR MINI BULL
15-17 yr - NOVICE BULL

The 6 to 8 age division will be required to ride six (6) seconds, and the 9 to 11, 12 to 14, and 15 to 17 divisions will be required to ride eight(8) seconds to be scored. Contestant age for the determined age group shall be defined by age as of November 15th of the previous year's world finals.
